Desert Pines Golf Club offers a touch of the Carolinas to the Las Vegas experience.

Designed to host professional tournaments, the monstrous new WOLF course combines extreme length with great scoring opportunities, while blending lush wide-open fairways with disastrous must-not-miss-here areas.

To ease an otherwise harsh perception created by pointed mounding that surrounds the course, beautiful mission poppies cover the landscape in bright red and orange, with other flowers adding purple and yellow accents. Yuccas and Joshua trees abound, creating a truly unique desert golf setting.

The course offers five different tee boxes, ensuring everyone will have fun if the proper tees are selected.

The 15th is the shortest par-3 on this monstrous track'only 182-yard from the back tees. The only problem is it's surrounded by water! It is a Pete Dye signature island green, the only island green in Las Vegas.

Described by many as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas, this Dyedesigned layout re-creates the beauty and feel of a Carolina championship course. Thousands of mature pine trees line the fairways, white-sand bunkers protect large, new bent-grass greens. The course may well require the use of every club in your bag.

Conveniently located within nine miles of the heart of the Strip or five minutes from downtown, this Pete Dye-designed course transports golfers from the Mojave Desert to the sandhills of the Carolinas with a layout often referred to as the “Pinehurst” of Vegas. Greens were fashioned after those at Augusta National and were completely rebuilt in the summer of 2007 and topped with new bent grass putting surfaces. Over 4,000 mature pine trees line well-groomed fairways and although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

Desert Pines is also host to the city’s only two-tiered, climate controlled practice center, featuring automatic ball delivery so golfers needn’t bend over to tee up each new ball. Lit for nighttime practice, the practice center features target greens patterned after some of the most famous par-3s in America, and the perfect way to get in a little golf if you don’t have time for a full round.

Clubhouse includes Duffer's Grill and a fully stock golf shop, including the latest Callaway clubs for rent.
